Northridge Bowling Season Update
The Northridge Bowling team just wrapped up its first month of the 2025-2026 season. The Jaguars have done well thus far, coming away with five overall wins.
In the first match of the season on November 6, the boys went 3-0, defeating American Christian Academy, Brookwood and Hueytown. High scores went to Kelton Young (185) and Caleb Schemel (162). The Girls went 1-1 on the day, defeating Hueytown but scoring behind ACA. Madeline McVeagh had a high score of 155, for the girls.
The girls finished second in the City-County tournament on November 8. Emma Sanderford had the high score for the girls with a 130, which was the overall fifth highest for the tournament. For the boys, Kelton Young had was the high scorer, with a third overall high score of 214.
Both the boys and girls swept the November 13 match with Hillcrest and Central, with both teams going 2-0. High scorers for the boys were Young (221) and Josiah Harris (189). For the girls, Sanderford had the high score (156) and Claire Dabbs followed closely with a 151.
The November 18 match was a split for the boys and girls, with the boys defeating Sipsey Valley and the girls taking a loss. Young (189) and Henderson Patton (169) were the high scorers for the boys. Sanderford (153) and Dabbs (144) had the high scores for the girls.
Both teams went 1-1 in their match with Tuscaloosa County and McAdory, with both defeating McAdory, on November 20. Young (166) and Schemel (160) recorded high scores for the boys. Sanderford recorded a 102.
On December 1, the boys went 1-1 against Hillcrest (win) and dropped a close one to Bryant (23-pin loss). Young (197) and Schemel (180) were again atop the leaderboard for Northridge. The girls were 2-0 on the evening, Dabbs led Northridge with a 113.
A five team match on December 4 saw the boys go 3-1 and the girls go 2-2. The boys defeated Hueytown, McAdory and ACA, while losing to Tuscaloosa County. The girls defeated Hueytown and McAdory, but lost to Tuscaloosa County and ACA. Young (209) and Elijah Prestley (200) were the high scorers for the boys and Sanderford led the girls with a 184.
