Jags notch 32-point win over area foe Brookwood
The Northridge Jaguars claimed their second area win, in as many tries, with a 67-35 win at Brookwood. The Jags started off hot, hitting their first six shots from the floor, and ending the first quarter with 27. The Jags held the Panthers at bay for the remainder of the game and finished with a 32-point victory.
As mentioned, the Jags scored 27 points in the first quarter and held the Panthers to 12. The Northridge scoring slowed to 12 in the second quarter, but the Jag defense held Brookwood to only two points, resulting in a 39-14 halftime lead.
The third quarter was even, with both teams adding 15 points apiece to their total. The Jags added 13 more points in the final quarter and the Panthers only managed six. When the final buzzer sounded, the Jags walked away with the 67-35 area win.
Garrett Ingram and Elia Fleming led the Jags with 10 points each. Ben Leitner totaled nine points on the evening. Tavares Jones and Miller James finished with eighth points each. Chase Murphy, Adam Hall and Owen Worrell got in the scoring column with five points apiece. James Walker finished with four points and Mize Parker rounded out the scoring with two points.
