Jags cruise in final 24-25 game at The Ridge, 73-40, over Wolverines

The Northridge Jaguars picked up a bonus home game on Thursday at The Ridge, hosting the Carver Wolverines from Montgomery. The Jags got out to a hot start and never looked back, eventually claiming a 33-point win, 73-40.

The Jags came out on fire, scoring 29 points in the first quarter, while allowing on 12 from the Wolverines. Northridge cooled off significantly in the second quarter, only scoring 11 points. But, that was offset a bit with the Wolverines scoring only eight. The result was a 40-20 halftime lead for the Jags.

The scoring evened out in the third quarter, with both teams adding 15 points to their totals. But the Jags were still holding a 20 point lead at 55-35. Northridge stayed fairly consistent, scoring 18 points in the final stanza. Carver could only muster another five points, resulting in the 33-point win for the Jags, 73-40.

Anderson Wilkin led the Jags with 26 points. Jordan Suiter was the only other Jag in double figures with 15. Jalen Green and Miles Phifer contributed seven points apiece. Ryan Halperin added six points. Adam Hall chipped in four points. Miller James and Andrew Matthews added one 3-point bucket each. And Kyle Nunnally rounded out the scoring column with two points.
