Jags Girls and Boys Soccer blank Central, 10-0

The Northridge Jags Boys and Girls Soccer teams shut out their visiting opponents from Central, leading to early conclusions of both matches. Both matches ended early in the second half, with both Jags teams claiming 10-0 victories.

The Jags Girls were up first and shared the scoring, with nine different players finding the net. Kiley Brewer got the Girls on the board first, with a goal at the 2:40 mark. It took almost 12 minutes before the Girls found the net again, with Ella Johnson getting her first goal at the 14:20 mark. Emma Sanderford got in on the scoring with a goal at 19:30. Sophie Maxwell was up next, netting her goal at the 23:00 mark. Johnson netted her second goal at 31:00 on the clock. Kenley Myers got on the scoring sheet at 36:01 and Ann Cade Eddings followed at 39:13 with her goal. Hayden Christman found the net at 42:18, with Kate Reel following close behind at the 45:45 mark. Madeline Herwig ended the game at 49:30 with her goal.

Myers, Brewer, Elle Emery, Lily Champion and Christman recorded assists on the afternoon.

The Jags Boys took 18 shots on goal for the match, connecting on 10 of them. Ellis Dykes recorded two goals on the afternoon, one coming in the fourth minute of play and one in the 14th minute (assist from Walker Green). Green got a goal on the board in the ninth minute. Grant Claytor scored in the 10th minute of play. Dominic Hart assisted Caleb Scofield on his goal in the 17th minute. Jacob Shankman netted a goal in the 19th minute, on an assist from Scofield). Wilson Patton scored his goal on an assist from Erick Avina, in the 23rd minute of play. Gavin Dobbins scored a goal in the 38th minute of play, coming on an assist from Braden Benner. The final goal of the first half was netted in the 39th minute by Nowali Menasse, on an assist from Gavin Gavin Dobbins. Benner closed out the scoring in the second half in the second minute, on an assist from Hugh McVeagh.

Dash Arnold recorded two saves in the win.
