Jags overcome first quarter deficit to slip past Huskies, 47-41
The Northridge Jaguars hosted the Huskies from Helena on Wednesday at The Ridge. The Jags were able to overcome an early 3-point deficit and hang on to win a rather low scoring affair, 47-41.
After one quarter of play, Northridge found itself down to the huskies by three points, 16-10. Northridge was able to pick up the pace and put 16 on the board in the second quarter, while holding Helena to 10 points, resulting in a 26-23 halftime lead for the Jags.
Northridge was able to manage 12 points in the third quarter, while holding the Huskies to 10. The Jags headed into the final quarter of play with a seven point lead. Points were a little harder to come by in the fourth quarter for Northridge, with the Jags scoring only nine points. Helena was held to 10 points and the Jags walked away with the 47-41 win.
Elias Fleming led Northridge with 13 points and Garrett Ingram made it into double digits with 10 points. Miller James finished the evening with eight points and Mize Parker totaled six. Max Bruinton and Tavares Jones added four points each. Adam Hall rounded out the Jag scoring with two points.
