Jags take 64-43 win over Sipsey Valley on Senior Night

The Northridge Jaguars boys basketball team trailed by four points at the half against the Sipsey Valley Bears, but got back on track in the second half to claim a 21-point victory, 64-43, on Senior Night.

The Bears came out hot, jumping out to a 17-10 lead after one quarter. The Jags warmed up, scoring 13 points in the second quarter, but were still down 27-23 at halftime.

Things turned completely around in the second half. Northridge came out hot, scoring 18 in the third, while holding Sipsey Valley to just seven points, with the Jags taking a 41-34 lead. Northridge stayed hot in the fourth, adding 23 points and holding the Bears to nine. The result was a 21-point, 64-43, win on Senior Night.

Jaguar seniors Jalen Green and Anderson Wilkin led the Jags with 18 points each. Seniors Ryan Halperin and Miles Phifer added six points each. Senior Kyle Nunnally added four. Garrett Ingram and Andrew Matthews totaled three points each. Tavares Jones, Jordan Suiter and Adam Hall rounded out the scoring column with two points apiece.
