Lady Jags Softball headed to regional

The Northridge Lady Jags Softball team finished as runner-up in the 2024 AHSAA Class 6A Area 6 Tournament. Doing so, they secured their spot in the Central Regional Tournament and will play on Monday, May 6. The Lady Jags will take on Brookwood at 10:45AM at Lagoon Park in Montgomery.

Here are a few highlights from the Area 6 tournament. Anna Cate Henderson was 6-for-9 for the tournament at the plate. She also collected two walks and four RBIs. Two of her hits were doubles and she also scored four runs.

Mary Hayes Henderson went 5-for-9 with two walks, two doubles and four RBIs.

Elliott Williams tallied five hits in eight plate appearances, collecting one double, three RBIs and scoring two runs.

Anna Grace Reed was a solid .500 at the plate, going 4-for-8, with a home run and drawing three walks. She also collected three RBIs and two stolen bases to go with five runs scored.
