Lady Jags Volleyball picks up area wins over Bryant, Central
The Northridge Lady Jags volleyball team picked up area wins to start off the week. The Lady Jags hosted Paul W. Bryant on Monday and traveled to Central on Tuesday. Northridge defeated both opponents in straight sets, 3-0, to secure the wins and run their area record to 4-0.
The Lady Jags only allowed Bryant 21 points over three sets, outscoring the Stampede 25-2. 25-10 and 25-9. Central faired a little better in the scoring column, but was still outscored 25-12, 25-15 and 25-12.
Over the two matches, Sage Jackson recorded 24 kills. Avery Warren accumulated 13 aces, 15 kills, 12 digs and 40 assists. Chloe Calhoun tallied 8 aces, 7 assists and 10 digs. Mallory Porter checked in with 10 kills.
Northridge (9-6, 4-0) will travel to Helena on Thursday for a tri-match with Helena and Athens. The JV and varsity teams will travel to Birmingham on Friday and Saturday to compete in the Heffstrong Tournament.
