Northridge Wrestling has good showing at Oak Grove
The Northridge Jaguar Wrestling Team competed at a tournament at Oak Grove with a short squad, but managed to finish fifth overall, with six Jags placing.
Robert Felix walked away with a first place finish and improved his season record to 39-1. Felix is the top ranked wrestler in the 106-pound class in Class 6A. Hunter Evans finshed second in the 165-pound class. Evans’ record for the season is 35-6 and is currently ranked second in his weight class in Class 6A.
Other notables are: Jackson Knapp who took third place in the 113-pound class. Jakob Knapp also secured a third place finish in the 120-pound class. Carter Blumental took fourth place in the 138-pound class and Rodarius Lee finished in fourth place in the 190-pound class.
Regional Duals are next on the schedule for the Jags. Those matches will take place at McAdory on January 8th and 9th. The top two teams will qualify for the next round.
