Tale of the Tape: Brookwood Edition

The Northridge Jaguars put together some impressive numbers during their region win over the Brookwood Panthers. (A quick breakdown will be provided each week, when available.)

In the passing/receiving category . . . Rowdy Christensen finished the game going 6-for-7 for 206 yards with three touchdowns. Mayson Elam led the receiving corps with three catches for 75 yards and two touchdowns. Elam’s longest catch went for 45 yards. Parker Cline followed with one catch for 65 yards and was a touchdown. Colin Kapilovic had two catches for 56 yards, with the longest being a 32-yarder.

In the rushing category . . . The Jags had three players accumulate over 100 yards rushing and a team total of 423 yards on 36 carries, for an average of 11.8 yards per carry. Brylon Tubbs led the Jags with eight carries for 113 yards and three touchdowns. Tubbs longest run was 29 yards. Magnus Greimel followed with eight carries for 111 yards, with his longest run coming in at 65 yards. Elam was the third Jag to break 100 yards, logging 110 yards on the ground on 10 carries, one of those ending up in the end zone. His longest carry was for 40 yards. Christensen also showed up in the top four rushers, collecting 47 yards on two carries. Christensen’s longest run was 28 yards. Kaden Trevathan picked up 30 yards on three carries. Brennon Kirkland had two carries for five yards and Semaje Rainey had two carries for two yards. Truett Cobb added one carry for five yards.

The 423 yards rushing and 206 yards gave the Jags 629 yards of total offense on the evening.

Elam led the All-purpose yards category with 248 total yards. In addition to his 110 yards rushing and 75 receiving, Elam added 63 yards on three kick returns. Christensen led the Jags in the total yards category, with 253 yards (206 passing, 47 rushing).

Fumbles – and especially lost fumbles – keep popping up on the stat sheet. The Jags fumbled three times and lost two of those to the Panthers. Both fumbles led to points for the Panthers.
