Volleyball blanks Central, 3-0, for first area win of season

The Northridge Lady Jag Volleyball team secured an area win over the visiting Central Falcons on Thursday evening at The Ridge. The match was the first area game of the year for the Lady Jags.

Northridge swept Central, 25-11, 25-9 and 25-12 for the 3-0 win. The win evens the Lady Jags season record at 5-5 and gives them a 1-0 area record.

Notable performances of the game were junior Mallory Porter with seven kills and senior Sage Jackson with six kills. Avery Warren (junior) had four kills, four aces and 12 assists. Junior Ellie Hanna totaled six aces on the evening.

Northridge will host area opponent Brookwood Tuesday and will travel to Jasper on Thursday for a tri-match with Jasper and Pelham.
